Thank You Letter

Dear Nwoke Family,

I am writing to express my gratitude for being awarded a scholarship. This scholarship means so much to me, as it will allow me to pursue a my studies in biotechnology, anthropology, and public health at Stanford. I am honored to be among the few students selected for this award. My dad is going through leukemia and the treatment is very costly. This scholarship will significantly alleviate our financial concerns during this difficult time.

Thank you for your support.

Warm Regards,
Veronica Fish

To whom it may concern:

I am very grateful that I was awarded this scholarship from Louis and Scholar Nwoke Foundation. My family and I are making financial sacrifices to pursue my education and this extra money certainly helps. Sometimes I feel like I’m not making enough progress as I study; however, when I was awarded this scholarship, I was quickly reminded that perseverance will always pay off. Being awarded this scholarship means that my hard work is being recognized by the college and those that help grant these awards. I will not take this scholarship money for granted, in fact, this will serve as a reminder for the rest of my academic pursuit to stay true to myself and good things will come. Thank you again Louis and Scholar Nwoke Foundation for your generosity and consideration.

Best regards,

Karen Aviles Cayanan

Dear Donor,

I really want to say thank you for this scholarship that has been awarded to me. I really appreciate it and I am so grateful. Being in my third semester of nursing school has been challenging and I decided to quit my job about a month ago in order to focus in school and do better, so this money will be a huge help. Frankly I have been worried about expenses since I do not have a steady income at the moment, especially since I am in concurrent enrollment with GCU to get my bachelor’s degree in nursing and tuition there is expensive. Although money is a little tight at the moment I know at the end of my nursing school journey it will all be worth it. Once again, I can’t express the gratitude of this award in words, but thank you so much!

To the donors,

I am humbly writing this letter with a heart full of gratitude to the donors for selecting me as a recipient of the nursing scholarship! I am beyond grateful to receive this as God knows how much I needed the financial assistance. I started the nursing program in August and have spent so much already and that has left me low and dry. The nursing program is very expensing, all the while worth it, but still, very expensive. Having stopped working to focus on my studies, it has been difficult making ends meet, as well as fulfilling my nursing responsibilities. This scholarship will be of tremendous help as I still need to purchase a lot of nursing necessities going forward. So, this scholarship means a lot to me. I am therefore very thankful to the donors for their consideration.

Respectfully,

Safi Kagarabi

Dear Louis and Scholar Nwoke Foundation,

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this amazing opportunity of being awarded the Louis and Scholar Nwoke Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship will help me in such a big way to accomplish my goals. Since I am a first semester nursing student at El Camino College, I have had to cut my hours at work significantly to be able to keep up with the rigorous program. This means that I have been struggling with my financial responsibilities. I have had to buy all kinds of supplies to get myself ready to succeed in the nursing program and this award will help me so much by paying for supplies, textbooks, and uniforms. It has been hard to lessen my workload to focus on my schoolwork knowing that I have a lot of supplies that need to be purchased to succeed in the nursing program. I am also a first-generation college student, so I have had to navigate through college without much guidance. This scholarship means so much to me because it proves that I am doing something right and going down the correct path. Being a first-generation college student makes me feel like I don’t belong in college but winning this award has shown me that I deserve to be here completing my higher education to have the opportunity to better my career and eventually my quality of life for myself and my family.

Foundations like the Louis and Scholar Nwoke Foundation are making huge impacts and helping students like myself be able to reach their goals and I truly can’t thank you enough.

I appreciate the recognition and this award will help me reach my goals in such a big way.

Sincerely,

Melissa Moran
